The Radio Awards adjudication panel reviewed more than 1700 entries earlier in March, making this the most hotly contested Radio Awards yet. Following the announcement of the various category finalists on 22 March, the finalists for the coveted Station of the Year title have now been selected and the final adjudication of this category is in process.

The adjudication panel will now review the finalists taking the following criteria into account:

  • Quality and depth of entries
  • On-Air success and innovation
  • Audience numbers
  • Community outreach
  • Understanding of listener and focus
  • X-factor

“The challenge of selecting the best of the best will be very exacting,” says Lance Rothschild, CEO of the Radio Awards. “With the depth and standard of entries received, there is not much to separate the finalists and I eagerly await the outcome of this final adjudication process.”
