1. Introduction and Acceptance
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to your attendance at, and any ticket purchase, registration or entry for, the Telkom Radio Awards Afterparty (the “Event”), to be held at [venue and address] on [date].
1.2 The Event is organized/hosted by [Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd(“Arena Holdings”) in association with Telkom SA SOC Limited (“Telkom”). In these Terms, “Telkom Group” includes Telkom SA SOC Limited, its holding company, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, sponsors and contractors. “Arena Holdings” includes its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors and event partners. Together they are the “Organizers”.
1.3 By purchasing a ticket, registering, accepting an invitation, or entering the Event venue, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not attend.
2. Tickets, Invitations and Entry
2.1 Entry is only for holders of a valid ticket or invitation. Tickets and invitations are non-transferable unless the Organizers agree in writing.
2.2 Tickets may not be resold, auctioned or offered for commercial purposes. A resold or counterfeit ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the holder refused entry.
2.3 The Event is restricted to persons aged 18 years or older. Valid photo identification (South African ID, driving license or passport) must be produced on request. No exceptions will be made.
2.4 Entry is subject to the venue’s capacity and safety requirements. The Organizers may refuse or limit entry where capacity is reached or safety so requires.
2.5 A ticket gives you a license to attend the Event. It does not give you ownership of any seat, space or right of re-entry unless stated on the ticket.
3. Right of Admission and Conduct
3.1 The Organizers, the venue and their security staff reserve the right to refuse admission to, search, or remove any person (without refund) who in their reasonable opinion:
- is intoxicated, disorderly, abusive or threatening;
- behaves in a manner that endangers or disturbs others;
- is in possession of prohibited items;
- harasses, discriminates against or harms other guests, staff or performers; or
- breaches these Terms or any venue rule.
3.2 Prohibited items include weapons, illegal drugs, fireworks, glass containers, outside alcohol, laser pointers, and any item the Organizers consider dangerous. Illegal substances will be reported to the SAPS.
3.3 You must comply with all reasonable instructions from security, venue management and Event staff, and with all applicable laws.
3.4 You may be searched on entry and during the Event. Refusal to be searched may result in refusal of entry or removal.
4. Alcohol
4.1 Alcohol may only be sold to and consumed by persons aged 18 and older. Proof of age may be required at any time.
4.2 Alcohol is served in accordance with the venue’s liquor license and applicable law. Staff may refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated.
4.3 Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive. You are responsible for arranging safe transport home. The Organizers do not accept responsibility for any decision you make to drive or to travel with a driver under the influence of alcohol.
5. Safety, Assumption of Risk and Personal Responsibility
5.1 You attend the Event at your own risk. Events of this nature involve crowds, loud music, lighting effects, alcohol and other inherent risks.
5.2 You are responsible for your own conduct, health, wellbeing and safety, and for the safety of any guests you bring.
5.3 The Event may include loud sound levels, strobe or flashing lights, haze and smoke effects. If you are sensitive to these, attend at your own discretion.
5.4 Emergency exits, first aid and security arrangements will be provided in line with applicable law and venue requirements. You must follow evacuation instructions given by the Organizers or venue.
6. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, neither Telkom Group nor Arena Holdings, nor the venue or their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, sponsors or service providers, will be liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense, injury, illness or death (whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential) suffered by you or any person attending with you, arising from or in connection with:
- your attendance at or travel to and from the Event;
- the acts or omissions of other guests, performers, third-party suppliers or venue staff;
- loss of, theft of, or damage to your personal property, vehicle or belongings (including items left in vehicles, parking areas or cloakrooms);
- the cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, relocation or alteration of the Event, the programme, performers or any part of the Event;
- delays, interruptions, power failures, equipment failure, load shedding, network outages or other technical failures;
- weather, crowd conditions, or circumstances outside the Organisers’ reasonable control (see clause 10); or
- the consumption of food or beverages supplied by third parties.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or intentional misconduct, or any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot be waived.
6.3 To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers against any claim, loss, damage or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful or negligent conduct, or any damage you cause to persons, property or the venue.
6.4 Any liability of the Organizers that is not excluded by these Terms is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to the face value of your ticket.
6.5 The Organizers do not guarantee that any particular artist, presenter, host or guest will appear. A change to the line-up does not entitle you to a refund.
7. Personal Belongings
7.1 You are responsible for your own belongings at all times. The Organizers do not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items.
7.2 Lost property found at the Event will be handled in accordance with the venue’s procedures. Contact KingS@arena.africa within 5 (five) days of the Event.

8.2 By attending, you consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded, and to the Organizers and their authorized partners using your name, image, likeness and voice, without compensation, in connection with the Event and promotion of the Event, Telkom Group and Arena Holdings, in any media worldwide and in perpetuity, to the extent permitted by law.
8.3 If you do not want to be filmed or photographed, do not attend the Event. If you have a specific concern, contact [email address] before the Event.
8.4 Guests may not film or photograph for commercial purposes, or use the Event name, logos or content in a way that suggests endorsement, without written permission.
9. Privacy and Personal Information (POPIA)
9.1 The Organizers will process personal information you provide (such as your name, contact details, ID information and ticketing data) in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).
9.2 Your information will be used to administer tickets and entry, manage security and safety, communicate about the Event, and (where you have consented, or where permitted by law) send marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing at any time.
9.3 Your information may be shared with the Organizers, venue, security providers, ticketing operators and other service providers who process it on our behalf, and where required by law.
9.4 You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za).
10. Cancellation, Postponement and Force Majeure
10.1 The Organizers may cancel, postpone, move, shorten or change the Event, programme or line-up at any time where reasonably necessary.
10.2 If the Event is cancelled outright and not rescheduled, a refund of the face value of the ticket (excluding booking and service fees, where permitted by law) will be offered through the original point of sale. If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will remain valid for the new date, unless otherwise stated.
10.3 The Organizers are not liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations, and will not owe compensation for any loss (including travel, accommodation or other costs), where this results from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, riots, strikes, civil unrest, war, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, government action or restrictions, power or network failures, load shedding, or venue unavailability.
10.4 Except as stated in this clause or required by law, tickets are non-refundable.
